If that doesn't satisfy you, you could always record how much money and time taken for each type of run and see which is better for you. More drops may not necessarily justify the extra time taken.

I just tried 55 SV, SoJ, SS, Wastrel's. And I get no more than 1 drop of granite no matter what build I use. Guess I'll go back to SS or Wastrel's.

You get the granite out of Scorched Lodestone's. Not just drops.

been a while since i farmed these , got all my destroyer weapons using this farm for granite

just did half a dozen or so runs round sardelic with my vwk rit and ended up with 45 charcoal, a sapphire, 2 lockpics, 190 granite, 40 scorched loadstones, 5 tomes, 5 golds and a couple of monstrous claws

If Im farming for event items like trick-or-treat bags, is this the best as I will be farming in NM, or should I go farming raptors ???

Help please, I only want event items, I dont care about the rest, so I want a fast run to kill as many as possible.

I too have been soloing this run in HM, but with my spirit spam R/Rt. I'm loving the 10-12 granite per drop (when it drops) and gotten quite a few golds, and even a few elite tomes out of the chests, too. Once spirits are up you can keep pulling mobs to them as long as armor of unfeeling is going so they last longer (or you can bring summon spirit to move them to you). Takes care of grawls (unless you get >1 Ulodyte in a mob), devourers, gargoyles, and crown of thorns, too.

Yeah I was about to ask about that... if anyone bothers with those pesky Crowns... (I usually have to bring a mesmer hero along to Divert their Orison spamming, it's seriously annoying). But IF there was evidence that just whacking the Stoners 1 at a time resulted in more consistent drops, then I could just run a hammer/Rit build instead of bothering with a scythe (which is frankly useless against Crowns after the Holy Wrath nerf).

Raptor would be better, cuz its faster

Turn on HM?

NM = 1 graite drop at a time, HM = stacks of 9-13. Im already on two full stacks of granites.

For professions other than elly perhaps. You cant really a much faster farm for ellys than Hulking Stone elementals anymore.
